St. Timothy Lutheran Church and Preschool regards children as God’s gift. We embrace our responsibility in their care and development.  Our mission is to support and maintain relationships with our preschool families. Our goal is to be an extension of your family by providing your child with nurturing instruction in a safe and secure Christian environment.  Our child-centered curriculum, activities, and events promote your child’s spiritual, emotional, and intellectual development. The Preschool of St. Timothy Lutheran Church is one part of our overall ministry.

 Spiritually,

Children will increase their sense of trust in the Lord, realizing their need for God’s love.  They will be given knowledge of Jesus as their personal Savior, the opportunity to respond to God’s love and care, and see themselves and all people as God’s children.

 Emotionally,

Children will build up a positive self-identity; be free to risk failure and be comfortable to make mistakes by recognizing these as learning moments.  They will develop a sense of security and trust in others; show independence and self-responsibility; and channel emotions into appropriate and acceptable outlets.

 Intellectually,

Children will continue to expand skills and understanding of language; build up pre-reading ability; widen ever-increasing attention spans; complete tasks started; grow in their self-reliance, and initiate their own activities.
