“We Want You to Fulfill God’s Purpose For Your Life”

|
The Mekane Yesus Evangelical Lutheran Church In Seattle. |
|
Our Vision Work with all Ethiopian immigrant churches found here in Seattle across denominational barriers and cultural reticence and spread the word to those that are not saved. Teach the word, counsel families and form a loving Christian community where families feel welcomed and nurture them in the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. |

Our Mission Make and Equip Disciples
|
|
Form a small group of bible study. Teach members to serve and know their gifts in the small groups.
Teach members in the skill of relational evangelism.
Distribute Bible readings and other teaching on sound doctrine targeting new believers, families and disciple training who like to share their faith to others on CDs and tapes.
Start Bible study in English and one to one follow-up of new converts from other ethnic immigrants
While we invite other churches from LCMS-Missouri Synod to partner with our Church, we have already made a covenant fellowship with the St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Edmonds, to the end that:
-We give our members cultural exposure by joining together in fellowship with churches that are willing to partner with our church. -So that, together, we can rejoice in the gift of unity that Jesus Christ gives us and celebrate the communion we share. -Recognize the value of our respective traditions and pledge to encourage one another to grow in them for the sake of our common mission and ministry. -Engage in regular public prayer for each other and for the unity of all Christians. -Invite members of these faith communities as welcomed guests at our worship services. -Engage in occasional exchanges of preaching, music or other worship ministry. -Promote and celebrate fellowship through social gatherings in order to get to know one another and gain understanding and respect for culture and ministry. |
