 The Mekane Yesus Evangelical Lutheran Church In Seattle.

The MekaneYesus Evangelical Lutheran Church is the mission outpost for carrying out the vision and mission of the African Outreach Ministries that operates under the LCMS- Missouri Synod.

 The members of this church are disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ who believe that the word of God is the truth.

They joined this church to fulfill their purpose in this life, which is the preordained work of God in Christ  (Eph. 2:10). We believe that this work of God can be done not a as mere individual but by being part and member of the body of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Conviction

 Our aim is to be equipped as disciples of the Lord Jesus for the work of the ministry.

 Give our hand of fellowship to and be the home base for Ethiopian missionaries that intend to reach out beyond the Ethiopian community. We will work and support those who want to reach out to others in the general U.S. population with the saving Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that every Christian has a God given purpose in this life. Each believer has been given a talent or talents to which the Lord will hold accountable one day and a crown awaits him who has accomplished his task well.

 Protect the immigrant family from divorce and break up and provide a loving community, which will foster a healthy family environment.

 We welcome all those who would like to accept the inerrancy of the teaching of the scripture and be the disciples of the Lord Jesus. Be a home to other Ethiopian Lutherans who do not have a home church here in Seattle and who would  accept the teaching of sound doctrine of the LCMS-Missouri Synod.
